Last night saw the Football League Awards take place.

With Ross McCormack amongst the three nominees for the Championship Player of the Year and Moussa Dembele named as one of the nominees for the Championship Young Player of the Year, hopes were high that, despite a poor season, Fulham might have something to celebrate last night

Unfortunately, it was not to be.

When it came to the Championship Player of the Year, the award went to the Burnley striker Andre Gray.

Gray moved to the Turf Moor club, from Brentford, back in August and has scored 24 goals in 39 Championship goals this season.

As for the Championship Young Player of the Year, Fulham also missed out on that one with the award going to the 19-year-old Leeds United midfielder Lewis Cook.

Oh well, there`s always next year.
