You have to admire our boss, Felix Magath for his positive outlook on life.

As well as insisting that Fulham Football Club can stay in the Premier League, the German is also insisting that Kostas Mitroglou can be a potential hero this season.

Mitroglou, a costly January transfer window signing, brought to the club from Olympiakos for a fee of circa £11 million, has only started one game and has been troubled by injury since arrival, but Magath reckons the 25 year-old could still achieve hero status and prove his worth, remarking to the media,

“Even if it is the last game and he scores that is good enough for us if we stay up.”

“I think you have to see the long term if you take a player like Mitroglou. You are not thinking only for four weeks so for that reason he is not a mistake.”

So there you have it, instant cult hero status a swell as a long term future at Craven Cottage!
