Kit Symons determination to improve the defence at Craven Cottage is featured in the press this morning.

Our friends over at The Sun are speculating that having had an initial offer of £1.75 million rejected for James Tarkowski Fulham are soon to return with a much improved offer.

Having failed to capture either Lewis Dunk or Tim Ream, Fulham are looking at tempting Brentford to part with Tarkowski by offering our West London neighbours £4 million for the twenty-two year-old.

However, whether Brentford are willing to do business might be affected by the fact the recently lost another vital defender Andreas Bjelland to injury.

But, with the transfer window closure still a couple of weeks away, there could be plenty of time, and room, for negotiations in this one.
