Deal For Experienced Former International Defender Moves Closer For Fulham

|

The January transfer window gives Claudio Ranieri the ideal opportunity to do his utmost to sort our rickety defence out.

It’s no secret that our defensive woes have been a considerable factor in the Cottagers being troubled by relegation worries.

However, according to speculation that has emerged today, courtesy of the news source, lovesportradio, the first steps to doing just that have commenced.

Our referenced source is championing the suggestion that Fulham have let Timothy Fosu-Mensah return to Manchester United, ending his loan spell, in order to free up space in the squad to bring in the out-of-favour Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill.

Furthermore, our quoted source is inferring that 33-year-old Cahill is close to agreeing to a move down the Fulham Road.

If Fulham can get the deal over the line, I’ve no doubt that Cahill’s experience will be hugely beneficial in helping the Fulham cause.

Let’s keep those fingers crossed that the deal can be done and pretty-sharpish.
