Davis Transfer Sega Continues!

Davis enjoyed a loan spell at Ibrox last season and it looked like he was most likely going to stay with the Glasgow outfit. However Fulham’s £4million asking price is apparently too much for Light Blues’ boss Walter Smith.

Ranger’s captain Ferguson is out for four-month while he recovers from an operation on his ankle and so the need for a midfielder of Davis’ quality would surely be an obvious fact.

A fact that Hateley, who works in an ambassadorial role at Rangers, has come to realise.

‘The Steve Davis transfer is a key transfer,’ the former England striker said.

‘From what we seen from Davis last season, he could be a very integral part of Rangers’ season, especially at the start, when the club is without its captain.

‘But it has to either be finalised or move on to look for somebody else.

‘That has to be done pretty quickly, and I’m sure that Walter will be working flat out to do that.’

Just break the bank Rangers! You know he’s worth it!
