Fulham are reportedly close on a loan deal with close rival’s Chelsea, for their midfielder Lassana Diarra.

The young Frenchman had been dubbed ‘the next Claude Makelele’ by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho but has struggled to get into the starting XI and hasn’t had regular first-team action with the Premiership champions after the summer arrivals of Michael Ballack and John Obi Mikel.

Diarra recently rejected the chance to move to Championship side QPR on loan but has jumped at the chance of Premiership football at Fulham. The 21-year-old has made just three appearances for Chelsea this season, with just 11 minutes of league action.

Ex-Spur, Simon Davies has also been linked with a move to the Cottage, after his struggle to make an impact at Everton.

Davies would come in as a direct replacement for long-term injury absentee Jimmy Bullard and would cost around £2 million.

Everton boss David Moyes is a long-time admirer of Fulham captain Luis Boa Morte but the £6 million price tag placed on the Portugal international’s head could scupper any move for the winger. But could a swap deal happen???

Because of Fulham’s torrid season injury-wise, with most of their midfield crocked, with Papa Bouba Diop and Claus Jensen constant injury concerns and like likes of Ahmad Elrich and Simon Elliott out for the foreseeable future, Diarra would be alost guaranteed a starting spot at Fulham, who have been using defenders Carlos Bocanegra and Moritz Volz as well as forwards Tomasz Radzinksi and Collins John in midfield this season.

Could this happen, Fulham fan’s, we need your view on this matter!!!!!!!!!!!
