Regular visitors to this site will know that we`ve been following the Daniel Cousin saga with keen interest.

Already we`ve registered our disdain at having to be kept waiting, for ten days, before FIFA even get around to debating the subject.

Cousin, as you are probably already aware, has already played for the maximum permitted tow clubs this season, albeit if one of these encompassed a meagre twenty minute appearance as a substitute for Lens before he moved to Glasgow Rangers.

Nevertheless, whilst we sit waiting a prominent figure in French football, Guy Roux, has left us in no doubt as to how he feels.

Roux, who used to coach Lens has labelled Fulham and Rangers as stupid believing we are wasting FIFA`s time.

He goes to great pains to point out that Cousin also played a full ninety minutes for Lens against the Ukrainian side, Chornomorets, in an Inter Toto cup tie.

Whilst believing Fulham and Rangers are trying to pull the wool over FIFA`s eyes he`s also not shy in trying to ridicule us remarking,

“Everyone knows that Daniel played for us and Rangers.”

“There is a great invention called the internet which makes it easy to check these things.”

“I`m sure most younger people are more than capable of using it and it states clearly that Daniel played for us – not once, but twice.”
