It doesn`t take long for circumstances to change in football, you`ve only got to look at the fortunes of our own fine club.

Talking to a few friends in a local bar last night, the talk turned to that wonderful Europa League run Fulham Football Club had just a mere six years ago. Although the run came to an abrupt end in the final, those magical European nights, at Craven Cottage, were a joy to behold.

My personal favourite night just has to be one where we shocked the mighty Juventus, beating the Turin side 4-1.

At the time we were an established Premier League side, never in our wildest dreams did we expect we`d be fighting for our lives to ensure we don`t fall through the Championship relegation trap-door into the third tier of English football.

But that is the situation and Fulham are fighting for their Championship future, With eight matches to go it`s imperative that Fulham start to pick up points although how many we actually will need to be safe remains uncertain.

One fellow Fulham site has an interesting article whereby it suggests that it is imperative we win three of our remaining games, the ones against MK Dons, Brentford and Bolton Wanderers are mentioned.

The first of those three is our first game after the international break against the MK Dons. To lose that would sow the seeds of doom that we are relegation bound.

The second of those three, the London derby against Brentford at Griffin Park, is a fixture that could go anyway, the fact that it is a London derby is a great leveller.

And as for the third, the home fixture against Bolton, the last fixture of the season, could your nerves really cope knowing our survival is dependent on this one result?

I remember Portsmouth away, the season of our Great Escape, I`m not sure whether I could stand something similar, how about you?
