It looks as if the adventures of Chris Coleman, in Spain, have come to an unfortunate end.

Chris, and his assistant Steve Keane have left Real Sociedad and issued a statement regarding the matter, a brief portion of which is reproduced below,

“Things have changed with the arrival of Badiola because there are now two different ways of seeing the club and of working.”

The quote refers to the new president of the club, Inaki Badiola, who came to power in the recent elections. Chris had previously suggested that he would be prepared to carry on in his current position under the new president.

However, it would seem that the ex-Fulham boss has had a dramatic change of heart and has decided to leave the ailing Spanish giants.

Sociedad are in the second tier of Spanish football and Coleman, who had been tasked with restoring them to the top tier, leaves the club in fifth place just one point adrift off the promotion pack.

We here at Vital Fulham would like to wish Chris well and we have no doubt his managerial ability will soon find him at the helm of another club.
