In the aftermath of that FA Cup defeat, Chris Coleman has spoken out about the apparent desire Collins John has to move on.
The powerful striker came on as a substitute against Spurs for his first appearance since New Years Day and according to Coleman, didn`t let anyone down despite his rumoured desire to move on in the transfer window that has just closed.
“Any player who wants to play for Fulham and work hard has a big part to play regardless of what has happened.”
“I`ve told Collins, that is what he wants to do so I haven`t got a problem.”
“He came on and had a great chance, perhaps he caught it too well, and nevertheless he tried when he got on.”
“I haven`t got a problem with anyone who wants to play for Fulham and wants to do the best for the club, even if there is a personal problem, although I don`t think there is.”
“I didn`t see any signs of Collins coming on and sulking, he came on and tried and that`s all you can ask.”
Hopefully, Collins will play a big part in securing our Premiership status in the weeks to come.
