Just as we reported on several times in the last fortnight or so, Chris Coleman is to take the vacant Welsh national managers position.

Coleman left his post at the Greek club, Larissa, and will be announced as the successor to the late Gary Speed, today.

Speaking about taking on the role, Chris broached on the fact that he is taking it on in difficult circumstances, remarking,

“Every manager wants one day to be in charge of his country and I`m no different.”

“Ideally for me the opportunity wouldn`t be here. It`s only here because of one reason, and I wish it wasn`t”

Although we agree with Chris` sentiments, we`d like to wish him all the best in his new role.
