Fulham manager admits he got it totally wrong against Blackburn at the weekend and keeper Antti Niemi will be out for up to a month after undergoing surgery on a knee injury which is a huge blow.
Niemi was replaced by Jan Lastuvka in the 2-0 defeat at Blackburn and Fulham boss Chris Coleman said: ‘Antti needed an op. He had cartilage floating around.’
Lastuvka, on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk, had a baptism of fire in his first as Blackburn secured their first win in seven league games thanks to goals from Shabani Nonda and Benni McCarthy.
Coleman said: ‘It was difficult for him but I thought he was okay. But we were tired. I changed the shape of the team against Blackburn and it never worked.’
After the superb game against Arsenal midweek (who slaughtered Tottenham at the weekend with a large helping hand from the ref!!!)How did Coleman get it so wrong?
