In recent weeks we`ve, in several articles, reported on the Patrick Roberts situation.

The exciting youngster has, seemingly, refused to enter into any new contract talks at Craven Cottage with the player intent on forcing a move.

There has been no shortage of takers with Manchester City and Liverpool said to be keen to secure the talented youngster.

But Fulham have been resolute in their intention to hang on to the player and have turned down a significant offer from Liverpool.

But it now seems that Manchester City are in pole position with it being reported that Roberts has handed in a transfer request to force a move to the north-west club.

City are, according to the Sunday media, willing to pay a fee up front with the remainder coming via add-ons, with the total transfer fee said to be in the region of £10.5 million.

If the reports are correct, it`ll be bad news for Fulham.
