Although our West London rivals have only just completed the signing of Asmir Begovic, it seems they now want to start stock-piling goalkeepers.

With Courtois and Begovic already on their books it seems as if Jose Mourinho, whose own son is a young keeper on our books, wants to take the excellent Marcus Bettinelli to Stamford Bridge.

Bettinelli, who has been away with the England U21 squad this summer, at the Euro 2015 championships, is a mainstay of our starting eleven and a player who Kit Symons would want to keep at Craven Cottage for many years to come.

But two news vehicles on the internet infer, the72.co.uk and Shoot that Chelsea Football Club are set to make an offer for our prized keeper.

Sadly the price being mentioned is an insult, a paltry £2.5 million!

I`d be very surprised if those who run our club would let Bettinelli go for such a fee, but as we`ve found out before, every player has a price, even more so when a club like Chelsea could tempt Fulham into selling by offering a fee plus a couple of their promising youngsters on loan.

But, to me, the big question is whether a decent young goalkeeper, like Bettinelli, would want to stall his career by being an understudy, possibly third choice, I doubt it very much, how about you?
