Our last poll showed just how optimistic we were about putting Leicester City to the sword in our Carling Cup fixture on Wednesday evening.
A massive 81% went for a home win, probably a good bet considering it was Premier League against League One opposition.
As it turned out the 8% who went for a draw after ninety minutes were only deprived of a satisfactory smile thanks to Danny Murphy’s late last minute rocket.
As for the remainder, the 10% who went for a Leicester win were probably looking quite pleased with themselves when Andy King gave the relative minnows the league.
It’s just a shame that there was no money riding in it, the smiles and frowns might have been so much more exaggerated.
