By Some Strange Quirk Of Coincidence

|

Given a multi-year contract, the length of which we’re not privy to, it remains to be seen how long Claudio Ranieri remains in the Fulham managerial hot-seat.

The likeable Italian is under huge pressure to turn things around at Fulham Football Club with the hierarchy having spent in excess of £100 million strengthening the squad following our promotion, from the Championship, last May.

But, whilst we sit poised waiting for the first action of the Ranieri era, an era in which we hope we flourish, we’ve stumbled across two statistical snippets that might interest you.

1 – It transpires that whilst he was in charge of our near-neighbours Chelsea Football Club, the first player that Ranieri brought to the club was a certain Slavisa Jokanovic, with Chelsea paying £1.7 million for the silky midfielder.

2 – Although Southampton (h) will be Ranieri’s first game in charge of Fulham, the following two fixtures will see the Italian go head-to-head against the other two clubs he’s managed in the Premier League, Chelsea (a) and Leicester City (h), they could be quite emotional affairs.
