We may still be waiting for that elusive first away win, something we became accustomed to last season, but things are looking up.

After two 0-0 draws we`ve proved that we`re resilient and that we`ve stopped leaking silly goals in the latter stages of matches.

Talking to the official website, the loveable Jimmy Bullard has spoken about our recent away form and in particular the stirring effort that saw Aston Villa denied in an encounter played in swirling mist and fog.

Take it away Jimmy,

‘We have picked up a bit away from home. Drawing at Liverpool was a great result for us and getting a point at Villa was another big lift. They are in good form, pushing to break into the top four this season, but we played really well and thoroughly deserved the point.’

“We kept them at bay a little bit. They had a few chances but we also had the odd sniff.”

‘They pushed a lot of men forward and it is always a tough game coming to Villa Park. In the first half we took it to them, we passed the ball better and could have got in a few times. In the second half they were a bit more on top of us.”

‘I’d love to control a game for 90 minutes but you can’t do that at this level. We got the draw and points are what really matter come the end of the season for us. We are hopefully getting tougher to beat on the road and we want to keep it going.’

Am I the only one who can feel a win coming on at Stoke on December 13th?
