The point earned on Saturday has given us all a little hope.
In fact, survival is now the word on everyone`s lips and already comparisons are starting to be made with the West Ham side that defied the critics last season to stay in the Premier League.
The fact that there charge towards survival also started with ten games to go and also at West Ham sort of makes it a little creepy. Nevertheless, Jimmy Bullard, a boyhood West Ham fan is keen to pick up on that strange quirk of fate remarking,
“As a West Ham fan I know what can be done with nine games to go and that was what was mentioned before the game.”
“We knew that it started here for West Ham as well. We had a big meeting on Saturday morning and said we were all in it together.”
“The meeting lasted forty-five minutes at the team hotel. It`s the most serious one I have been involved in. There was more said and it was a more positive attitude. We said there were ten games left and our season starts here.”
Now I`ve never been one for superstition but if it helps us stay up, I`ll give anything a whirl!
