Bullard Confuses Me!

Do I sense the slightest change in expectation levels?

So far all the talk, coming out of the dressing room, has been about achieving survival, of how it will happen and how we will be a Premier League club next season.

Suddenly. I get the impression the mood is a little more downbeat, although I may be wrong.

In a tabloid today I spotted the following quote from Jimmy Bullard, in which he remarks,

“I don`t think about the fact we`re in a relegation battle, I take it as a good thing as I`m back out there playing.”

“But what a great feeling it would be to stay up. We believe we can do it. Roy Hodgson is a top class manager and that`s where our belief comes from.”

At first glance it doesn`t seem anything out of the extraordinary until you concentrate on one sentence in it

“But what a great feeling it would be to stay up.”

Do I sense a degree of negativity there from our Jimmy? Have the events of recent weeks started to grind them down?

Or am I simply being a moaning old busy-body who is nit-picking?
