Most players, when they make a move, view it as an opportunity to better themselves, even more so when they`ve established a reputation and are in the prime of their career.
Therefore, I can`t help wondering just what Jimmy Bullard makes of his £5 million move to Hull City.
Bullard, a fans favourite at Craven Cottage, and a player who the club stood by throughout a career threatening knee injury, chose to jump ship in the belief that a bigger pay-packet and a life at the KC Stadium would prove far more attractive than life beside the River Thames.
History has shown that not to be the case and it`s now being reported that Bullard has been told to stay away from Hull City Football Club after a breach of club discipline on a pre-season trip to Slovenia.
Last season Jimmy spent time on loan at Ipswich Town, in the Championship, as Hull struggled to pay his wages and at the age of thirty-two his career looks to be on a downward spiral.
I wonder if he ever thinks he should`ve hang onto a career with us!
