Michael Brown could be a Fulham player by tomorrow afternoon after being confirmed as being in advanced talks with the club.

Although Chris Coleman?s number two Steve Kean would not confirm the wide speculation about who the player actually was, Coleman is known to have made a move for the 29-year-old Tottenham player.

?We’re very confident that by the time the transfer window closes, we’ll have another player, but we don’t really want to mention who he is out of respect for the player and his club. We’re confident that something will happen’, Kean told FulfamFC.com

Brown has been frozen out a bit since his move from Sheffield United to White Hart Lane two years ago, and has only made four appearances for Spurs this season.

As the summer arrivals of Edgar Davids and Jermaine Jenas have pushed him down the pecking order in manager Martin Jol?s plans, Brown may now decide that the time is right to move on.

But Brown was quoted only last week as saying ?I?m very happy and first and foremost enjoying my time at the club?.

In the same interview though he described being ?frustrated? at the fact that Tottenham ?have got so many players and not everyone can play?, fuelling speculation that he wanted to quit the North London outfit.

West Brom and Portsmouth were in the running but Fulham have taken the front seat in the battle for Brown?s signature.

Ironically, if the move goes ahead, then Brown could be thrown straight into the team against his present employers on Tuesday night in Spurs? Premiership encounter at Craven Cottage.
