Who said it was fun by the seaside?

For some time I thought the golden sands of Blackpool were going to bring nothing but sad memories after our hosts pulled back a one goal deficit to lead 2-1.

Thankfully, with three minutes left an unlikely saviour arrived on the scene.

Mark Hughes, faced with possible transfer for Schwarzer and Konchesky chose to stick with Stockdale in goal and also gave Kelly another opportunity,, up front Dembele was given his first Premier League start.

Our hosts thought they`d taken the lead when Ormerod scored but the effort was quite rightly disallowed for offside. Cheered on by a vociferous crowd, Blackpool were having the better of the play but it was to be Fulham that went ahead when Bobby Zamora continued his recent scoring run by getting the opener.

The goal came when Dembele shook off the challenge of Evatt to cross for Zamora to head home.

A goal to the good at half time could we hang on and register a rare away win?

Well the omens didn`t look good when Blackpool equalised with some twenty minutes to play. Stockdale could only parry Varney`s shot and it hit the unfortunate Pantsil and went in. The home crowd went mad, the noise got louder and six minutes later you`d have thought they`d won the title when they took the lead.

Ormerod found Varney and the star of Blackpool`s performance beat Stockdale, Fulham had it all to do and with time running out Etuhu came to our rescue rushing onto a fine ball from Dembele to beat Gilks in the Blackpool goal.

There was even the possibility of a winner in injury time but Gilks denied Davies and the points were shared.

As for me – the Pleasure Beach beckons now!

See you all tomorrow, hopefully!
