Fulham may have failed to get that vital away win they crave, with it now being twenty-three away games, in the Premier League, without an away win, but they`ll take great pleasure in snatching a point at a very difficult ground to go to.

For the fixture Mark Hughes gave Salcido his debut with Pantsil dropping to the bench. Damien Duff recovered from a knock that had affected him recently to take his place in the starting eleven against one of his former clubs. However, Dempsey was deployed as an emergency striker to cover for the stricken Bobby Zamora.

The home side started the better of the two teams and Kalinic went on a mazy run that resulted in a free kick on the edge of the box, thankfully Hangeland was on hand to clear any impending danger from the dead-ball situation. Our hosts had another chance after a Schwarzer error had given Diouf a headed chance and the keeper appeared all at sea moments later when he dropped a free kick and Hangeland had to keep out an effort from Pedersen.

Fulham were struggling to mount any serious attacks and only had two crosses, from Duff, to show for any attacking play. The home side thought they should have had a penalty when Hangeland tackled Diouf but the referee was right to deny the appeal after Murphy had lost possession.

Unfortunately, he appeared to make up for that on the half hour mark when he appeared to ignore, or not see, (you take your pick ) a blatant taking out of Schwarzer to allow Samba the opportunity to head Robinson`s long ball into the net to give Blackburn the lead.

Fulham didn`t respond well to the goal and only had an effort from Salcido, tipped around the post by Robinson, to show for their attacking endeavour in the first forty five minutes.

The second half saw Davies hit a free kick over the bar but once more the referee, Mr Taylor, had failed to do his job and get the wall back the required ten yards. Kalinic, a thorn in our side, hit a shot wide from twenty-yards before Fulham grabbed an equaliser.

Fifty-six minutes had been played when Demble and Salcido combined delivering an inviting cross for Dempsey to head powerfully home from nine yards out.

Sam Allardyce responded by making a couple of changes with one of them being the surprise withdrawal of Kalinic. From here on in chances were few and far between and despite numerous substitutions there were to be no more goals.

The away record may have stretched to twenty-one Premier League away fixtures without a win but look on the bright side – we`re still unbeaten this season and that can`t be a bad thing can it?
