Birmingham City v Fulham – Early Team News and Thoughts

|

And so, the big weekend is upon us.

A weekend which will decide whether Fulham will grab that second automatic promotion place or will be forced to battle it out in the Championship play-offs.

To think that Fulham, if Cardiff City beat Reading, could finish the season with 91 points and still not achieve automatic promotion is a bitter pill to swallow.

But, here at Vital Fulham, we’ve got our fingers crossed that Reading, after a poor season could pull something out of the bag and do us a huge favour.

Ahead of the most dramatic of weekends, we’ve cobbled together some early team-news.

Starting with our hosts Birmingham City:

Birmingham City, who could suffer the indignity of relegation if results don’t go their way, will welcome back their defender Harlee Dean, the player has been suspended for the last two games.

Continuing with Fulham;

Slavisa Jokanovic will be hoping that Matt Targett, on loan from Southampton, can shake off the ankle problem that saw him substituted last time out.

Elsewhere in the squad, the trio of Floyd Ayite, Neeskens Kebano and Sheyi Ojo, will all undertake fitness tests to see if they are available for selection.

Here at Vital Fulham we’ve got our fingers crossed that the last day of the Championship will see some dramatic events unfold, is it too much to hope for a joyous promotion party at St Andrews, with Reading beating Cardiff and the likes of Tom Cairney, Ryan Sessegnon and Aleksandar Mitrovic propelling us to a delightful win?
