Bilic in the Frame?

After the dismissal of Lawrie Sanchez yesterday, the name of Slaven Bilic is in the frame today.

According to one leading tabloid, the ex-West Ham player, now managing Croatia, could well be offered the chance to take over the managerial reigns at Craven Cottage.

Bilic, who masterminded the recent defeat of England, may even be given the chance to job share if that is the only way to entice him to Craven Cottage.

It would appear that there is no way that Bilic is prepared to walk away from the national team after doing all the heard work to ensure they qualified. Indeed, the fact that the finals do not start until next summer may assist in his apparent quest.

Bilic, according to the tabloid, has been in touch with Fulham with a spokesman remarking,

“Slaven has shown all the makings of becoming one of the world`s best coaches.”

“Obviously he doesn`t want to walk out on his country with a major tournament coming up and is trying to convince the club it won`t be a problem juggling both roles.”

“Fulham know this is a golden opportunity and so may be willing to take that gamble.”
