Currently recovering from injury, it appears that Marcus Bettinelli is a wanted man.

Our young keeper, since being at Craven Cottage, has been the subject of attention from our near-neighbours, Chelsea.

However, that speculation has died down since Chelsea signed the veteran Willy Caballero as back up to Thibaut Courtois.

This summer speculation has linked Bettinelli with a move to our rival Championship sides, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, but Fulham have turned a deaf-ear to such talk.

Today, Sky Sports, are reporting that Fulham have opened talks with their first-choice goalkeeper to keep him at Craven Cottage, talks that are intended to tie the popular player to a new contract at Craven Cottage.

Let`s hope the talks are successful.

Here at Vital Fulham we`ll endeavour to report back further once a deal is done and dusted.
