Here at Vital Fulham we`d like to offer our best wishes to one of our former players.

Andrew Cole, who recently saw his contract with Nottingham Forest cancelled by mutual consent, has decided to retire from football.

Cole, who joined Fulham in time for the 2004-2005 season, only stayed for that one season but he made a huge impact becoming the top scorer netting one of the goals of the season in a clash with Liverpool.

Incidentally, that season was his second spell at the club having spent time on loan at Craven Cottage in 1991, as a youngster, when he made thirteen appearances scoring three goals.

During the 2004-2005 season he made thirty-one appearances scoring twelve goals.

He left West London to return to the north-west citing family reasons.

Here at Vital Fulham we`d like to thank him for his contribution to football as he contemplates life in retirement.
