Another rumour that refuses to die and has been resurrected is that of Fulham making a move for the Spurs player, David Bentley.

Bentley, who Spurs signed for £17 million, is available being surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane.

Aged twenty-six, Bentley`s career is, on paper, far from over and with Martin Jol being reported as being an admirer of the player, could Craven Cottage be the place at which a career that saw him touted as David Beckham`s successor in the national team, be placed back on track?

As for other possible interested clubs, the name of a certain Spanish club, Atletico Madrid, gets a mention!

  • I’d like to see this one happen, if he can recapture the form he had at Blackburn then he would be a good buy and at 26 he’s the right sort of age as well

  • depends whether he prefers the kings road ladies and life style to the spanish senoritas of madrid….ole!

  • tbh he isnt that bad, its just hes not as good as our other mfs. if given a run i believe he could become ok again
