With Jimmy Bullard now history Roy Hodgson has taken less than a week to recruit somebody to strengthen our squad in the midfield area.
With Leon Andreasen also looking to depart Craven Cottage in a move to Hannover, Roy has raided Derby County to snap up Giles Barnes, on loan, until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move being finalised.
Barnes, who recently scored twice for Derby in their epic Carling Cup semi-final with Manchester United, has only recently come back from a harrowing injury spell and Roy will be hoping that the talented youngster will be able to put together a run of appearances providing evidence that his troubles are behind him.
Welcome to Craven Cottage Giles Barnes.
