At Last Fulham Are Linked With A Possible Signing

|

This morning I think it’s fair to say I’ve experienced something of a eureka moment.

Regular visitors to this site may well have stumbled upon the recent article, fulham-fans-getting-restless-as-the-only-transfers-seem-to-be-outwards penned by a regular contributor to Vital Fulham, Brian Gower.

Well, it appears, at long last, we could be witnessing a reverse in the trend mention in the aforementioned article.

According to a local south-coast media source, The Argus, Fulham are being linked with a move for the Brighton and Hove Albion winger, Anthony Knockaert.

Knockaert, 27-years-of-age, has, according to our source, been the subject of a £15 million discussion with Fulham keen to add the Frenchman to their squad as they look towards an instant return to the Premier League.

Knockaert, who has played for Brighton in their last two Premier League campaigns, has an excellent Championship having been named the Championship player of the season back in 2016 / 2017, scoring 15 goals in the process.

I get the feeling from our aforementioned source that the move is in its infancy and that there is a long way to go before this one gets across the line, but Knockaert is, in my view, just the kind of player Fulham should be looking to add to their squad.

His wing play and his ability to get on the scoresheet can only be beneficial in our quest to make an instant return to the top-flight of English football.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this one gets across the line how about you?
