Another Three Weeks for Healy?

Although we`d like to believe that every effort is being made to attract new players to Craven Cottage, therefore revitalising our squad, our first target still remains at arms length.

David Healy, who has played for Lawrie Sanchez during his tenure as manager of Northern Ireland, will have to sit twiddling his thumbs for a further three weeks until he can commit to playing for another club.

When Leeds United went into voluntary administration, just prior to the climax of the 2006-2007 season, it invoked a complicated process.

By concocting a rescue package to re-generate Leeds United, albeit under different ownership, a deadline was imposed for creditors to contest the deal agreed to take the club out of administration.

This deadline still has three weeks to go; therefore Healy is unable to sign until this milestone has been passed, hopefully, just in time to report for pre-season training with his new club!
