Highly-rated central defender Gabor Horvath has revealed he will be having a trial with us as he looks to prove himself in the English game.

Horvath has been linked with a move away from his homeland after an impressive season.

The 22-year-old six-foot-two defender would prefer a move to the Premier League and he is hoping to make a good impression in a six-day trial.

‘I was informed on Monday that I have an invitation to England,’ Horvath told Nemzeti Sport.

‘I would like to make the best of this opportunity; I want to show my abilities to the English club.

‘My dream would come true if I was told to stay in London.’

Would this see Zakuani leave the club?

Your thoughts please!

  • I personally think we should look at signing Boularouz from Chelski, and Ooijer from blackburn. They will both be fairly cheap, and will sort out the rest of our defence! Then splash out on Gudjohnson or Cisse!

  • If he impresses Roy then why not take him on? Defence needs an extra player or two. Zakuani will probably go. He’s gone out on loan to Stoke for the past couple of seasons hasn’t he? If he still hasn’t made much progress towards first team action then let him go and bring in some solid CBs

  • I’m not saying don’t bring this guy in, but I would love to see the two Duthmen come in, I think they would both complete the backline well

  • not sure Boulahrouz is the answer, must admit I don’t know much about this Hungarian either!

  • Boularouz at right back would be great! Have you not seen how he’s been playing in the euro’s?

  • Boularouz is a great player i’m not sure he’ll want to sign for us though if i’m honest

  • I don’t think he’s THAT big headed is he? What about Ooijer? We’ll have a chance with him?

  • thats a great suggestion, Ron Vlaar would be another good young defender, Emanulson and Zuiverloon would be good too!
