Fulham aren’t going to be signing Brighton’s Lewis Dunk for sure now as he’s signed a new long-term contract at the club.

The Whites, along with Newcastle according to reports, have shown plenty of interest in the former England U21 international who is one of the most highly rated defenders outside of the Premier League.

Dunk’s actually one many feel could be a potential future full England international too?

If he’s to do this it’ll not, at this stage anyway, come with him as a Fulham player as Brighton look to have ended any doubts about the 23-year-old’s future by announcing a new five-year contract to take him through until 2020 had been signed.

Kit Symons’ apparent desire to land the Seagulls defender has seen up to four bids put in, the most recent thought to have come last week when a £5m offer was rejected.

Tim Reams arrival from Bolton, and the American international is another fine defender at this and also proven at Premier League level, wasn’t necessarily ending the interest in bringing him to Craven Cottage however this signing of a new deal will!
