After the trauma of that public enquiry, you could be forgiven for thinking that Mr Al Fayed might like to retire from the public view for a few months; well that certainly isn`t the case.
After the emphatic win over Birmingham City, Mr Al Fayed was in fine form producing such classic lines as,
“It is God helping us. I have always absolutely believed we would get out of it.”
“If the boys believe in themselves there is nothing difficult. And we saw today they are fantastic, fighting, fighting all the time.”
“Before the game I told them a lot of things. I fired them up and I told them if we go down, they are down with us.”
“Now the next game is like our final. We win that one and we will go up another three or four places. Who knows?”
What a fascinating and wonderfully charismatic man.
