A Move for Bellamy?

Reading thoroughly, as you do, the sports pages in several newspapers this morning, I came across an article on Craig Bellamy.

The article infers that Bellamy, who has been on a season long loan deal at Cardiff City, is available for a cut-price fee with Manchester City, supposedly, keen to get him off their books.

The text of the article goes on to infer how any club looking to procure the fiery Welshman will be expected to pick up the tab with regard sot his current salary which is rumoured to be in the region of a pretty healthy £90,000 a week.

We believe that whilst Bellamy has been at Cardiff that City have been subsidizing his salary. But with the imminent introduction of UEFA`s new financial rules, we suspect that City want the player of their payroll as they try to meet the requirements stipulated in UEFA`s new statute.

If that is the case, we were wondering whether Fulham could well be interested in taking on Bellamy, even more so when you take into account the fact that Mark Hughes knows all about the player having managed him whilst both were at Eastlands.

Pushing the case further, and possibly easing any fears relating to the aforementioned salary, with Roy Hodgson reportedly interested in taking Andrew Johnson to the Hawthorns, could the cash from that deal support a move to lure Bellamy to Craven Cottage?

We`d certainly be interested in your thoughts on the subject!
