This is what Kit Symons has cited for the reasoning behind Fulham’s late defeat at Hull on Wednesday.

Having recovered from a goal-down, and the more worrying knee injuries to Marcus Bettinelli and Matt Smith following a first half collision, when Ahmed Elmohamady had given Hull the lead another Tom Cairney beauty against his former side looked like earning the Whites a point at the KC Stadium.

But with four-minutes to play Hull restored their lead to see out a 2-1 win when Sone Aluko scored.

Commenting after the match, with the BBC covering his thoughts, Symons said.

‘In the second half, we really upped our game; played on the front foot, took the game to Hull and scored a very good goal.

‘We’re in the ascendancy then. To then go and lose it from that position is hard to take but it’s only three games in and I’m sick of saying the same things already.

‘It can’t be down to fitness, it must just be down to concentration, not being street-wise enough. It’s costing us dearly and it needs to change.’

We’re only three-matches in but just one-point from these three is a concern, not as much as that on the injuries to the key Fulham duo though!

Symons will know he’ll soon come under pressure if things don’t turn around soon with much more expected from the Craven Cottage faithful this term.
