A Lack Of Clean Sheets Proving So Costly For Fulham

Perhaps the biggest damning statistic relating to our, putting it politely, catastrophic start to the season, related to our inability to keep a clean sheet.

The statistics show that Fulham are the only side, in the Premier League, who are yet to keep a clean sheet.

With eleven Premier League games now completed, that is a damning insight into where our failings lie.

With goal-scoring chances at a premium, it is essential to be able to keep things tight at the back.

But, eleven games into the new season, Slavisa Jokanovic appears to be struggling to decide on a settled unit.

Once again, against Huddersfield Town, Jokanovic shuffled his back-four, opting to utilise a central defensive partnership of Odoi and Le Marchand.

Whether that is our best partnership I’ll leave you to debate.

However, as we head towards our next game, a tough trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool, this Sunday, would you bet your mortgage on Fulham keeping the Liverpool attack at bay and keeping a clean sheet?

Sadly, I certainly wouldn’t!
