Kagiso Dikgacoi’s dreams of playing for Fulham have been shattered after he failed to secure a work permit. Dikgacoi passed a medical on Tuesday and was set to sign for us, but his application for a work permit was turned down as he failed to meet the required number of national team games.
Dikgacoi was required to have played in 75% of Bafana Bafana’s competitive matches over the past two years, but managed just 8 appearances out of 17 a figure of 47%.
But the good news for the midfielder is that Fulham have not closed the door on signing him in the future if he can reach the requirements for the work permit.
Sources close to his club, Golden Arrows, have confirmed that Dikgacoi has failed to sign with Fulham and is expected back in the country on Thursday in time for their Absa Premiership opener against Orlando Pirates at the Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday.
Big disappointment as this guy seems a real African Diamond. He is also what we really need as he is big, strong and a ball winner. My advice to Roy is go for Aaron Mokoena from Blackburn.
