If anyone was looking for an example of how things can change so quickly in this sport of ours, then you need to look no further than in the general direction of the man stood between the posts.
It doesn’t seem long since the Fulham support were lauding the skills of Marcus Bettinelli after the goalkeeper had fought his way back into the starting eleven and then gate-crashed the international squad.
But, just a matter of weeks later, Bettinelli finds himself out of the picture with Slavisa Jokanovic having decided that Sergio Rico was his main man.
Sadly, the flow of goals being conceded hasn’t slowed, with Fulham still having conceded the most goals of any Premier League side, but the performances given by Rico have certainly been welcomed by the Fulham support.

Which makes us believe that if there can be such a drastic swing when it comes to the guardian of the net, why, in a few short weeks, can’t the form of the side take a dramatic turn for the better!
