With the relegation battle heating up and Fulham having every chance of being sucked into the nightmare scenario, it`s interesting to witness what is going on.
Clubs, in the lower regions of the table, especially those of a London persuasion, are desperate for their supporters to be cheering on their team.
Our South London rivals are preparing to take an army of 6,000 supporters to Blackburn in an effort to generate a sufficient racket to spur on their side. Transporting such an army has resulted in Charlton offering subsidised transport in the form of three aircraft, hired from Monarch Airlines, and a convoy of coaches that should make a spectacular sight as it weaves towards the north-west.
Us Fulham supporters have also been offered subsidised travel with a plane having been chartered, along with numerous coaches, to ferry our away support to Middlesbrough for what could be a very crucial last game of the season.
Unfortunately, we`re recognised for having a poor away support and its doubtful whether, given the supply of tickets, we`d muster 6,000 to take to Chelsea.
However, the club are to be congratulated on their initiative and we here at Vital Fulham would urge all those who possibly can to take advantage of the offer.
That last game of the season could be our most crucial for years. Middlesbrough may well be an unforgiving place to visit but on this occasion it is something we have to do. Failure to do so and a failure to secure our Premiership status is unthinkable.
