Forced into making one change last night, due to the sale of Bobby Zamora, Martin Jol recalled Simon Davies.

Davies` appearances have been restricted by injuries in recent times but pulling on his shirt last night and coming out to represent Fulham last night, Davies made his 300th Premier League appearance.

We`d hazard a guess that reaching that milestone triggered a sense of pride for the Welshman whose contributions have often been under-rated.
