3 Things We’re Very Grateful For Here At Fulham

|

With everything, as far as the Premier League is concerned, placed on hold for the international break, here at Vital Fulham, we’ve had a little think.

We’ve come up with three things, as we contemplate life in the top-tier of English football, we’re very grateful for:

1 – The fact that the negotiations that brought Aleksandar Mitrovic to Craven Cottage, on a permanent basis from Newcastle United, were successfully concluded. The Serbian international has continued the fine scoring form he demonstrated in the Championship last season and tops the scoring charts in the Premier League. I wonder what the beleaguered Newcastle United support are thinking about the deal!

2 – The fact that Jean Michael Seri signed for our fine club. After being linked with a possible move to the Camp Nou in the summer of 2017, it’s a testament to our clubs ambition that the player was convinced that his future lies at Craven Cottage. The season may be in its relative infancy but already we’ve seen from the player that he is class. The sublime chipped pass that resulted in Andre Schurrle scoring at Brighton is a typical example.

3 – The fact that, back in May, the squad (as it was back then) held its nerve and beat Aston Villa, in the Championship Play-Off Final to reach the promised land that is the Premier League. Four games into the new season and although results might not have gone our way at first, life is certainly grand playing in the top-flight of English football, long may it continue.
